Report suspicious charges immediately

If your card was lost or stolen, or if you suspect you’re a victim of fraud or identity theft, contact UCCU immediately to put a hold on your card account.

  Replacement Funds

Replacement funds are provided on a provisional basis and may be withheld, delayed, limited, or rescinded by UCCU based on the following:

  • Gross negligence or fraud
  • Delay in reporting unauthorized use
  • Investigation and verification of claim
  • Account standing and history
  • The transaction-at-issue must be posted to your account before replacement funds may be issued

What do I do if I encounter an extra verification step?

UCCU has a number of tools that can help verify your identity such as a one-time passcode or biometrics. If you encounter an extra step, simply follow the instructions on your screen to verify your identity.

Do I need to register my card to be Verified by Visa?

No. All UCCU cards come as Verified By Visa.

Verified by Visa protects you at every participating online store. When you shop online at a participating merchant, your card will be automatically recognised as protected by Verified by Visa.

How does UCCU and Visa make online shopping safe?

There are 3 main steps taken to keeping your online shopping safe.

  1. Register: Make sure your card is registered and activated (see question above). Once activated, use the card details when checking out on the purchasing website.
  2. One-Time Password: You will be asked to authenticate yourself in a Verified by Visa window displayed on the site using your Verified by Visa password or the one-time password issued to you.
  3. Validation: Once you have entered your Verified by Visa code, simply follow the steps as you normally would to complete the transaction. Your issuer will verify your entries and the transaction will be completed upon successful validation.
